MOULTRIE — Moultrie police charged a Southeast Moultrie man Monday evening after his sister’s car was destroyed.

Mack Trimble Jr., 25, of 921 Ninth Ave. S.E., was charged with aggravated assault, criminal damage to property and cruelty to children after the incident took place between 6 p.m. and 6:32 p.m. Monday.

Police reports said officers arrived at the scene Monday and found a Plymouth Reliant destroyed. All of the vehicle’s windows were broken, and cables were ripped out.

Trimble admitted to damaging the car because he was upset at his sister after she took away his vehicle, police reports said. He stated that he was making the payments on the vehicle when she took it away from him.

Trimble’s sister, Monica Thomas, stated Trimble came to her residence on 11th Court Southeast and started using profane language at her, reports said. He also threatened her life while they were in front of her children.

Thomas also told police Trimble chased her down the street with a brick, and reports said she got into her vehicle with her children and fled the scene. She told police she almost lost control of her vehicle as she drove away.

Police said Trimble admitted to using profane language at Thomas, but he denied using any other forms of violence against her.

– Sebastian Gasper, 42, of 1151 Circle Road, was charged Monday with public drunkenness, furnishing false information to police and loitering.

– Shantara N. McGee, 21, of 1305 Summer Circle S.W., was charged Monday with trespassing.

– Terrell Eugene Hawkins, 26, of 1428 Hutchinson Drive, was charged Friday with criminal damage to property and simple battery.

– A 15-year-old girl was charged Monday with two counts of being a runaway.

– Derrick Brown, 19, of 227 First Ave. S.W., was charged Tuesday with escape and probation violation.

– Angel Lopez, 17, of 310 Dogwood Drive, was charged Saturday with a use of safety belts in a passenger vehicle violation, driving without a license and making an improper stop on a roadway.

– Maurice Antwan Smith, 21, of 513 Fifth Ave. N.W., was charged Thursday with obstruction.

– Cindy Faye Ramsey, 18, of 175 Hidden Acre Road, was charged Monday with two counts of theft by conversion.

– James Jerry Harris, 50, of 139 Brown MacNeil Road in Norman Park, was charged Monday with public drunkenness.

– Abel Lopez, 20, of 2757 Shady Road in Baconton, was charged Monday with failure to stop at a stop sign and driving without a license.

– Miguel Gutierrez, 20, of 334 Circle Road, Lot 52, was charged Sunday with duty to stop or return to the scene of an accident, duty to stop upon striking an unattended vehicle, failure to maintain lane and driving without a license.

– Alton Paul Olliff, 17, of 181 Gay Road in Pavo, was charged Friday with purchase or possession of alcohol by a minor.

– Terrance M. Pettiford, 25, of 911 Washington St. in Tifton, was charged Sunday with driving with a suspended license and an open container violation.

– Ruben Rodriguez, 41, of 1603 Lower Meigs Road, was charged Sunday with being a pedestrian under the influence.

– Clayton Neil Spicer, 19, of 385 Magnolia Ave., was charged Friday with the purchase or possession of alcohol by a minor.

– Joseph Scott Stocker, 24, of 539 Lewis Road, was charged Sunday with having no insurance and two counts of defective equipment.

– Charlie Thompson, 49, of 704 W. Gordon St. in Valdosta, was charged Friday with DUI and speeding.

– Eriberto Silva, 48, of 310 Dogwood Drive, was charged Saturday with being a pedestrian under the influence.



Other incidents

– Lynn Hammack reported an unknown person kicked the hood, trunk and passenger side of her son’s Honda Prelude while it was parked at Colquitt County High School on Park Avenue Southeast Monday. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at approximately $1,500. A gold glitter substance was also found on the vehicle’s passenger side door and window.

– John Jordan, of Seventh Street Southeast, reported Monday an unknown person forged a $250 check from his account and cashed it Oct. 12. It could not be determined who the check was made out to, and a copy of Jordan’s bank statement and check was provided to police.

– Michael Lee, of Second Street Southeast, reported an unknown person stole a Jennings 9 mm pistol from a locked box in his basement between Oct. 13 and 6:10 p.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen pistol was $210.

– Christopher Ziegler, of 13th Avenue Southwest, reported a male acquaintance stole a safe, containing two gold rings with a cross on them, a roll of quarters and a cell phone, from his residence between Oct. 20 and 2:54 p.m. Monday. The total value of the stolen items was $270. The acquaintance was able to enter Ziegler’s residence because he had a spare key.

– Doris Umanzor, of Sleepy Bear Road in Norman Park, reported an unknown person stole her Tommy Hilfiger wallet, containing a Bank of America debit card, a Georgia identification card, a Social Security card and $76 cash, after she left it at Memories of You on South Main Street Monday. The total value of the stolen items was $111.

– William Wood, of Fourth Street Southeast, reported an unknown person threw a block through the passenger side window of his Chevrolet Silverado between 10 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday. Damage to the vehicle was unknown at the time of report.

– Brenda Barber, of Fourth Street Southeast, reported an unknown person threw a concrete block through the rear window of her Ford Expedition and stole a bat bag, containing a Wilson A2000 baseball glove, a baseball bat, batting gloves, a batting helmet, an autographed baseball glove and a regular baseball glove, between 3 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Monday. Damage and the total value of the stolen items was $915.

– Penny Marshall, of Third Street Southeast, reported an unknown person threw a rock through a driver’s side window of her Pontiac Montana and stole a wallet, $27 cash, a change cup, a Discover credit card, a driver’s license and a Social Security card between 11 p.m. Sunday and 7:15 a.m. Monday. The total value of the stolen items was $52, but damage to the vehicle was unknown at the time of report.

– Norman Watson reported an unknown person stole three drilling rig batteries, a 36-inch steel pipe wrench, two 24-inch aluminum pipe wrenches, a sledgehammer, a five-gallon bucket of hand tools, a come along, and two gallons of motor oil from a Sanders Well Drilling site on Willow Drive between 6 p.m. Oct. 27 and 9 a.m. Monday. The total value of the stolen items was $800.

– Greg Dorminey, of Reed Bingham Road, reported an unknown person stole a Troy Bilt tiller, two tackle boxes, nine rods and reels and four boxes of 12-gauge shotgun shells from his carport between 8 p.m. Oct. 26 and 9:15 a.m. Monday. The total value of the stolen items was $948.

– David Knight, of Kendallwood Church Road, reported an unknown person stole a four-wheeler from a utility room inside his carport between 6 p.m. Saturday and 4:30 a.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen four-wheeler was unknown at the time of report.
