Robin Calhoun to speak at Women’s Day service

Sinner Friend Baptist Church will have its Annual Women’s Day services at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 8, with Robin Calhoun as the guest speaker.
Calhoun is the first lady of Union Missionary Baptist Church and the wife of the Rev. R.O. Calhoun.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Albany State University in 1978, a Master of Arts degree in early and middle childhood education from Columbus, Ohio, in 1979 and an Education Specialist degree in educational leadership and supervision from Albany State University in 2004.
Calhoun is the recipient of several awards and accolades, including Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers in 1994, 1996 and 2004; Albany Area Reading Council Middle Grades Reading Teacher of the Year in 1995 and 1999; a life member of the Georgia Association of Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows, Inc., and a member of the International Association of Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows, Inc. She has been a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. since 1975 and is affiliated with the Thomasville Alumnae Chapter.
