Mildred Naomi Giles

MOULTRIE — Mildred Naomi Giles, 76, of Moultrie died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home with the Rev. Eddie Dee officiating. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Rusty Giles, Kyle Giles, Mike Thompson, Jerry Tillman and Bill Johnson.

Born March 30, 1926, in Colquitt County, Mrs. Giles was the daughter of the late Joseph Soloman Bozeman and Winnie Isolene Davis Bozeman. She was a homemaker and a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy W. Giles.

Survivors include three sons, Dan Giles of Albany, Craig Giles of Sylvester and Michael Giles of Sale City; a daughter, Ann Stripling of Moultrie; a brother, Joseph Earl Bozeman of Springlake, N.C.; sisters, Leola Bozeman Jackson of Tampa, Fla., and Dorothy Bozeman Bailey of Moultrie; five grandchildren, Rusty, Kyle, Jessica and Lindsey Giles and Lori Stripling; and five great-grandchildren, Taylor Hart, Devin Stripling, Alex, Josh and Abby Giles.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.



James Donald Wingate Sr.

MOULTRIE — James Donald Wingate Sr., 79, of Moultrie died Thursday, May 16, 2002, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Benton officiating. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Horace Chitty, Rodney Allegood, Wayne Norman, Kenny Bostick, Jerry Bostick and Raymond Bates. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Adult Six Sunday School Class.

Born Sept. 4, 1922, in Doerun, Mr. Wingate was the son of the late W.C. Wingate and Mazie Hooks Wingate. He was a businessmen and a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth S. Wingate of Moultrie; four sons, William Banks Wingate and wife Alice of Smyrna, James D. Wingate II, Christopher Deneen Wingate and wife Sue, all of Savannah, and Jerry Jackson Wingate of Los Angeles, Calif.; three daughters, Roslynn Wingate Harrell of St. Marys, Vickie Wingate Durham and husband Douglas, Emily Wingate Hammack, all of Moultrie; eight grandchildren, Dana Martinez and husband Jimmy, Julie, James and Caitlin Wingate, Kristen Harrell, Kenton Harrell, Lawton Allegood and wife April, and Jordan Hammack; and a great-grandson, Quinton Allegood.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
