Lost wallet
Published 2:30 pm Tuesday, December 6, 2005
“I was at a local restaurant on Saturday afternoon and dropped my wallet. Somebody picked my wallet up, took my $400 and threw my wallet back on the ground. I’d appreciate it if this person would call me and let me get my money back as much needed, no questions asked. Contact Rich Oil.
Interference
“It’s getting pretty bad when you can’t enjoy the bike trail because a church group has taken over the trail. People are crossing the highway at Sunset Plaza. It’s dangerous. They even had concessions set up on the bike trail and you had to detour around them. I think the city needs to look into this because they are not licensed to be there. This church needs to leave the bike trail for what it is made for. Go out and apostle-ize the neighborhoods.
The best
“Moultrie people are the best. A big thank you to the two ladies who helped me when I fell on the bike trail. Strangers to me, they were concerned about my fall and drove me to my home. Thank you ladies for your concern and kindness.
Wrong number
“To the elderly lady who repeatedly dials my number asking for Julie, Mildred and Mrs. Yates, please check your numbers. I am handicapped and your excessive calling is making things more difficult for me. If you’ve gotten the wrong number, dialing it 15 more times won’t magically connect you with your party.
Postal issue
“I’d like to extend a big thank you to the Moultrie Post Office for not having their window opened Saturday during the posted hours of operation. Have we already discontinued Saturday service? If so, take down your sign.
American dream
“The person who said the American dream is dead needs to do some traveling.
Concerns
“Concerning Norman Park, if the city leaders have no concern about the trash dump at the old abandoned store on Hwy. U.S. 319 or the junk yard north of the store or the abandoned church with the roof falling in, they surely will have no concern about the cotton dust in our city. What do travelers think when they go through our city?
Get over it
“What happened in the Civil War is hardly a measurement of what should happen today. We cannot live in the past. Get over it.
Not offended
“I went out and looked at the signs and flags on Quitman Highway. I’m not offended or distracted by them. I don’t consider them unsightly. I don’t know why there is a law against them.
Revisit issue
“The issue of the signs is one the City of Moultrie should revisit. The city is making a mountain out of a “mole hill on this matter. The signs and flags I saw did not take away from the dignity of the area in the least.
