Numerous thefts reported

MOULTRIE — At least nine people reported being victims of a wide assortment of crimes over the weekend. Among those under investigation are:
– Junius Macon Jr. reported an unknown person stole his Nissan Altima while it was parked at Advance Auto Parts on West Central Avenue between 8 p.m. Sunday and 12:05 a.m. Monday. The value of the stolen vehicle was unknown at the time of report.
– Uella Greene, of Ninth Street Southwest, reported an unknown person stole an engagement ring set, her wedding band and four books of blank checks between 6:40 a.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Sunday. The total value of the stolen items was estimated at approximately $2,600.
– Randy Huckaby reported an unknown person broke out a passenger window and stole a Cyberhome DVD player, an American Logic 1600-watt amplifier and a Power Acoustic 800-watt amplifier while it was parked at a residence on Second Street Southwest for repairs Saturday. Damage to the vehicle and the total value of the stolen items was $520. Huckaby provided police with the name of a male acquaintance he suspects stole the items.
– Karen Cooper reported an unknown person knocked a hole into the wall at the Barbecue Pit on First Avenue Southeast and broke a gumball machine, damaged 12 locker doors, broke a door to the office and stole quarters from the gumball machine Saturday. Total damage to the restaurant and the value of the stolen items was estimated at $730.
– Briley Edwards, of Lower Meigs Road, reported Friday he sent a cashier’s check to a known male in Ohio to purchase a camera on eBay but had not received the camera. The value of the cashier’s check sent was $540.
– Ricky Jackson, of Indian Lake Drive, reported an unknown person stole his child’s 10-speed bicycle from his residence and his wallet, containing $20 cash, his driver’s license his Social Security card and prescription medicine from his vehicle between 8 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Friday. The total value of the stolen items was $270.
– Chandler Monk, of Elton Clark Road, reported a male acquaintance stole a Ford Ranger from his yard Saturday. The value of the stolen vehicle was $5,000.
– Charles Harrison, of Dogwood Drive, reported an unknown person stole a pit bull dog from his back yard between Feb. 22 and 11:33 a.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen dog was $500. Harrison provided sheriff’s deputies with the name of a male acquaintance he suspects stole the dog.
– Pete Somerindyke, of Reedy Road, reported a male relative stole his wallet and $570 cash from his residence Sunday. No other items were stolen from the residence.
