MOULTRIE — Daniel Ruffin, 55, of Moultrie, died Monday, July 23, 2001, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, at Grant Chapel AME Church with the Rev. J.W. Greene Jr officiating. Burial will be in St. James Pallbearers No. 2. Family members will serve as pallbearers.

Born Jan. 20, 1946, in Moultrie, Mr. Ruffin was the son of Willie Arthur Lockette and Elouise Ruffin. He was a janitor and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Ida Mae Ruffin of Moultrie; his mother, Elouise Ruffin of Moultrie; his father, Willie Arthur Lockette; a son, Daniel B. Ruffin Jr. (Bridget) of Tifton; daughters, Mary Ellen Ruffin and Tangular Norman, both of Moultrie; brothers, Ronnie Ruffin (Susie) of Moultrie and Isiah Ruffin (Lillie) of Killeen, Texas; a sister, Lyndia Ruffin of Moultrie; a foster brother, Howard Boston of Miami, Fla.; aunts, Ruth Daniels of Trenton, N.J., and Willie Mae Davis of Albany; an uncle, Wesley Ruffin of Moultrie; and grandchildren, Shayla Danielle Ruffin, Daniel B. Ruffin III and Tylisha Hill.
