MOULTRIE — Demetrius Sanedra Fowler, 21, 1022 Sixth Ave. N.W., was charged Thursday with theft by receiving and forgery in the first degree.

Moultrie police reports stated Fowler tried to cash a forged check at Oxley’s Fine Foods No. 1, 17 Eighth Ave. N.E., earlier that evening. Franklin Oxley, manager, told police he called the check owner and she told him she reported the check lost or stolen last week, according to police reports.

Police reported Fowler told them someone gave him the check as payment for work he did but police said he could not give details, according to reports.



Other arrests

Darrell Glenn Coasey, 25, 506 Northside Drive, was charged Thursday with probation violation, Moultrie police reports stated. He was charged Wednesday with eight other charges.

Sherlene Haynes, 42, 714 Ninth Ave. S.E., was charged Friday with failure to appear in court and probation violation. She was also charged with fighting/disorderly conduct and released on subpoena.

Earnest Mathis, 47, 111 1/2 11th St. S.W., was charged Thursday with violation of a city ordinance and released on subpoena.

Lonnie Anderson, 76, 714 Ninth Ave. S.W., was charged Friday with fighting/disorderly conduct and released on subpoena.

Isias Sapon, 30, 216 Fifth St. N.W., was charged Thursday with theft of services.

Police reports stated Tim Sanders, a Moultrie city employee, reported Thursday that Sapon allegedly had tampered with his electric meter box. Sanders told police the meter was supposed to have been stopped, police reports stated. The value of stolen electricity was unknown at the time.

Jason Bromburger, 23, 1013 Fourth St. S.W., was charged Thursday with violation of probation, Moultrie police reports stated.

Terri Lee Durden, 31, 108 Crum Road, was charged Thursday with simple battery (domestic violence), Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office reports stated.

Ladonia Miller Mitchell, 24, Tifton, was charged Thursday with issuance of bad checks.

Vickie Celena Price, 34, 422 Peachtree Road, was charged Thursday with driving with a suspended/revoked license.

Terry Lee Williams, 28, 522 Fifth St. N.W., was charged Thursday with violation of probation.



Incidents

Tomika Seay, 22, Moultrie, reported that someone entered her home through a rear window that was broken between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday. Police reports stated the damage is valued at $100. Seay told police the person took a silver necklace valued at $100 and a gold diamond ring valued at $200, according to police reports.

Barbara Yentzer, 57, Moultrie, reported that employees told her a government building was vandalized between 4 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Police reported the person damaged a fence gate door valued at $100 and an awning-like tent valued at $200.

Peggy Sprayberry, 53, reported that someone damaged, with a brick, the front glass windows and a glass door at Bill’s Dollar Store, 1017 N. Main St., between 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. Thursday, police reports stated. She said the damage is valued at $1,085, according to police reports.

Marvin Tucker, 1200 Sumner Road, reported that someone had rummaged through his belongings in his 1999 Chevrolet Z-71 and took two buck lock blade knives between midnight and 6:30 a.m. Thursday. Sheriff’s office reports stated Tucker told deputies someone also entered a 1995 GMC Jimmy, but nothing was taken.

Wylene Price, 3971 Sumner Road, reported that someone shot the driver’s side window of her 1997 Chevrolet Suburban with a small caliber firearm between midnight and 7:30 a.m. Thursday. Sheriff’s office reports stated the bullet lodged in a speaker in the passenger side door and the vehicle was parked and unoccupied at the time.

John Summerlin, 1326 Sumner Road, reported that someone entered a GMC Yukon while it was parked at his residence between 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. Thursday. Sheriff’s office reports stated the person took a Nokia cell phone and a plastic bag containing change and that there were no signs of forced entry.







Brandon Watson, 1310 Overlook Drive, reported that he heard dogs under his house trying to get his pet rabbit and that something killed one of his chickens between 3:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday. Sheriff’s office reports stated Watson also told deputies 15 chickens were missing.

Bobbi J. Jackson, Moultrie, reported that someone took a seven-diamond 14-karat gold ring valued at $1,000 and clothing valued at $100 from her home between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday.
