Dora Barrett Daughtry

MOULTRIE — Mrs. Dora Barrett Daughtry, 94, of Moultrie died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at her residence.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 20, at Riverside Holiness Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Jordan and the Rev. Joey Dean officiating. Burial will follow at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Daughtry’s grandsons will serve as casketbearers.

Born on Dec. 20, 1909, in Mitchell County, Mrs. Daughtry was the daughter of the late Jennie Mercer Barrett and Lath Barrett. She was retired from Moultrie Cotton Mill and was a member of Riverside Holiness Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Judson Daughtry, and two sons, Ermon Daughtry and Homer Daughtry.

Survivors include two sons, Henry Daughtry and wife Juanita of Sale City and Thomas Gene Daughtry of Berlin; three daughters, Lorene V. Pacifico of Stanley, N.C., and Elsie Mae Poole and husband Hiras and Mary Ann Shirlock and husband Arthur, both of Moultrie; 27 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 19, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
