Cecil E. Young
SPARKS, Ga. — Cecil E. Young, 74, of Sparks, Ga., died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., today, Dec. 28, at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bo Turner and Bro. Wayne Driskell officiating. Burial will follow at Brushy Creek Church Cemetery.
He was born July 21, 1932, in Montgomery, Ala., to the late Cecil Justin and Ruby Ellis Young. He lived in Americus, Ga., for many years before moving to Sparks 13 years ago. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was retired from the mobile home industry.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Richard Young.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Williams Young of Sparks; four sons and daughters-in-law, Cecil and Paula Albritton of Ellaville, Ga., Ray and Sue Albritton of Douglas, Ga., T. J. and Tia Williams of Sparks and Todd and Lisa Williams of San Diego, Calif.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Jeremy Munoz, Renea and Billy Blasingame, all of Americus, Debbie and Frankin Lasseter of Thomasville, and Suzanne McMullen of Warner Robins, Ga.; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Donald and Betty Young of Crestview, Fla., and John D. “Dave” Young of Thomasville; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia Hightman of Fairhope, Ala., Charlotte and Chuck Welch of Milton, Fla., Shirley and Nate Maiden of Crestview, Fla., and Cara Jean and Kevin Fisher of Brewton, Ala.; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Paul Edmond Stewart
HARTSFIELD — Paul Edmond Stewart, 94, of Hartsfield died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, at Sunrise Nursing Home.
Graveside rites will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, at Westview Cemetery with the Rev. J.E. Moak officiating.
Born March 16, 1912, in Colquitt County, he was the son of the late Lucretia Cutts Stewart and Jim Stewart. He was a farmer and the owner of Stewart’s Feed and Seed.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Marvin Stewart and Bobby Stewart.
Survivors include a grandson, Todd Shaw of Atlanta, Ga.; a special friend, Rhonda Millings of Hartsfield; a special niece, Joyce Howell Crosby and husband Ed of Moultrie; and other nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.

FUNSTON — Edward S. “Dick” Chambers, 82, of Funston died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.

Willie James Walls
MOULTRIE — Willie James Walls, 83, of Moultrie died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, at Sunrise Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, at Luke Strong and Son Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. John W. Greene Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the St. James Pallbearers Cemetery No. 2 with Ollie Wright III, Edward Wright, friends of the family and great-nephews serving as pallbearers.
Born Dec. 17, 1923, he was the son of the late Jim Walls and Bertha Evans. He served in the United States Army.
Survivors include a devoted wife, Bernice P. Walls of Moultrie; a son, Frank Davis and wife Debra of Miami, Fla.; a daughter, Vyki Walls of Miami, Fla.; a brother, Ulysses Walls of Moultrie; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Nesbitt and husband Allitt of Leesburg, Fla.
Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 29, from 6 to 7 p.m.

MOULTRIE — Aaron J. Bridwell Sr., 88, of Moultrie died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, at Magnolia Manor South Nursing Home.

John Chastain Parker Jr.
SPARTANBURG, S.C. — John Chastain Parker Jr., 70, of Spartanburg, S.C., died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, at Fernwood Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. P. Randall Wright and the Rev. Stuart Jones. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Born Sept. 5, 1936, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late John Chastain Parker Sr. and Eugenia Anderson Parker. He was a graduate of Auburn University and received a master’s degree from Georgia State University. He was a retired Certified Public Accountant and formerly worked with Butte Knit, Blasius Group, and Plastical. He was a member of Fernwood Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher, a Mobile Meals volunteer, and an avid golfer and artist.
Survivors include his wife, Flora Jane Fowler Parker of Spartanburg, S.C.; three sons, John William Parker and his wife Barbara of Charlotte, N.C., Richard Scott Parker and his wife Melanie of Columbia, S.C., and Brett Fowler Parker and his wife Sarah of Spartanburg, S.C.; two granddaughters, McKenzie Parker of Charlotte, N.C., and Mary Fowler Parker of Spartanburg, S.C.; and five grandsons, Davis and Raleigh Parker of Charlotte, N.C., Reed and Ryan Parker of Columbia, S.C., and Anderson Parker of Spartanburg, S.C. He is also survived by a sister, Eugenia Gibson of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Visitation will be tonight, Dec. 28, from 7 to 9 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel.

OCHLOCKNEE — Bonnie Mae Lewis, 64, of Ochlocknee died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, at Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church with the Revs. Michael Stewart and Johnny Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church Cemetery with Rodney Joe Lewis Jr., Jared Thomas Lewis, Danny Walker Jr., Steven Sbarra, Jeff Hancock and Phillip Powell serving as pallbearers.
Born Jan. 15, 1942, in Tifton, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Hattie B. and Johnnie B. Walker. She was a homemaker and a member of Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Joe Lewis; a granddaughter, Karen Denise Burgess; and a sister, Audry W. Adams.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Thomas Aaron Lewis of Ochlocknee; a son, Ricky Thomas Lewis and wife Donna of Ochlocknee; a daughter, Thelma Rhonda Lewis of Ochlocknee; grandchildren, Ricky Joe Lewis Jr., Jared Thomas Lewis and Kenton Lynn Lewis, all of Ochlocknee; brothers and sisters, Leonard Walker and wife Mary of Norman Park, Angela Wilson of Norman Park, Larry Walker and wife T.C. of Pelham, Danny Walker of Thomasville, Glenda Hancock of Norman Park and Connie Humbert and husband Lee of Moultrie; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends today, Dec. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home, 10451 Hwy. 84 East in Thomasville.
