Judy Cadwell Gandy

ADEL — Judy Cadwell Gandy, 59, of Adel, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2006, at her residence.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 27, at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Born July 16, 1947, in Colquitt County, she was the daughter of the late William Burch Cadwell Sr. and the late Eva Steele Cadwell. She lived in Cook County most of her life and was retired from Weyerhaeuser. She worked for the Cook County Sheriff’s Department as a traffic clerk for the past six years.

Survivors include a son, Ryan Gandy and wife Tina of Adel; a granddaughter, Chelsea Gandy of Adel; two brothers, Bill Cadwell and Jerry Cadwell, both of Adel; and a sister, Jeanette Ricks of Adel.

The family will receive friends tonight, Aug. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home, Hwy. 41 South.

Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.



Joey K. Garren

ORLANDO, Fla. — Joey K. Garren, 42, of Orlando, Fla. died Monday, Aug. 21, 2006, at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Fla.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. today, Aug. 26, at Daniels Memorial Chapel in Live Oak, Fla. Burial will follow at Live Oak Cemetery.

Born Feb. 20, 1964, in Moultrie, he moved to Orlando in 1969 and resided there for the remainder of his life. He was a biomedical engineer for 24 years at Orlando Regional Medical Center and went on from there to become an executive chef at Parliament House Resort in Orlando.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Gladys Porter and Mack and Sally McCuller.

Survivors include his mother, Joyce P. Singleton of Live Oak, Fla.; stepfather, Leon Singleton of Live Oak, Fla.; brothers, Ron Garren and wife Rose of Orlando, Fla., and Mike Garren and wife Cindy of Christmas, Fla.; sisters, Wendy Darnell and husband John of Live Oak, Fla., and Pam Swanner and husband Dale of Iron City, Ga.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many friends.

Visitation will be held today, Aug. 26, from 12:30 to 2 p.m.

Daniels Funeral Home of Live Oak, Fla. is in charge of arrangements.



Andrew Jackson “Jack” Owen

DALTON, Ga. — Andrew Jackson “Jack” Owen, 69, of Dalton, Ga., died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, at Emory University Hospital.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, at the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Brother Dale Kidd officiating. Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

He was the son of the late, Clifford and Delphia Akins Owen.

Survivors include his wife, Frankie Owen of Dalton, Ga.; daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Curtis McDermott of Cohutta, Ga., and Jennifer and Nathan McClure of Tunnel Hill, Ga.; sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Cathy Owen of Moultrie, Kim and Tama Owen of The Woodlands, Texas, and Brent and Jennifer Owen of Black Diamond, Wash.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Janie and Trammell Hammontree of Rocky Face, Ga., Syble Lawless of Chatsworth, Ga., and Marie and James McPherson of Dalton, Ga. and brother and sister-in-law, Neal and Phyllis Owen of Tunnel Hill, Ga.; eight grandchildren; and nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends at the Love Funeral Home tonight, Aug. 26, from 5 to 8 p.m.
