James “Jimmy” Justice
ABBEVILLE, S.C. — James William Justice, 63, of Abbeville, S.C., died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at Abbeville Area Medical Center after a brief illness.
Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 25, at the First Baptist Church of Abbeville with the Rev. Reiny Koschel, the Rev. Wayne Wiggins and Mr. Jim Jones officiating. Burial followed in Long Cane Cemetery with Jim Jones, Jim Rauton, Charles Williams, Ron Hilley, Jim Rathbun, William “Smitty” Smith Sr., Dean Thomas and James Murphy serving as pallbearers. The honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Davis, Fred Lewis, Dan Vandiver, Frank Crawford, Tim McCurry, Grady Burton, Bob Gary and Dennis Harrison.
He was born Feb. 17, 1943, in Newton, Miss., the son of the late Joe Justice and Azell Busby Justice. He graduated from Moultrie High School and attended South Georgia College. He worked in the family business, Justice Lumber Co., for many years. He went to South Carolina in 1983 as the plant manager of Reelco Incorporated, where he worked until his retirement in 1999. He was also a member of First Baptist Church of Abbeville, where he served as a deacon, former Brotherhood President and former co-leader of the College and Career Sunday School Class. He led mission trips to West Virginia, where a food ministry building was constructed; a trip to Indiana to put vinyl siding on a church; and several trips to the coastal area to assist the victims of Hurricane Hugo. He was an avid NASCAR fan and he enjoyed fishing, antiquing and auctions. His favorite pastime was spending time with his 5-year-old grandson, Will. He was a devoted husband, father and Papa.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Carol Leath Justice; daughters, Janna Davis and husband Andy and Jennifer Smith and husband Frank, all of Abbeville, S.C.; a sister, Barbara Cummings and husband Gene of Newman, Ga.; grandsons, Drew Davis, Ryan Davis and Will Smith; and a host of other family members.
Memorials may be made to Abbeville First Baptist Church, Building Fund, 307 N. Main St., Abbeville, S.C.

Mamie Cox
MOULTRIE — Mamie Cox, 88, of Moultrie, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2006, at the Brownwood Nursing Home.
Luke Strong and Son Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Georgia Franklin Joiner
MOULTRIE — Georgia Franklin Joiner, 97, of Moultrie, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Mother Easter Baptist Church with the Rev. E.H. Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in Morning Grove Cemetery with the deacons of Mother Easter Baptist Church serving as pallbearers.
Born June 11, 1909, in Crosland, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Fannie and George Joiner. She was a domestic worker.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Willie Joiner and Pink Irvin Joiner; five brothers; and five sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Eva Mae Yates; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Remains will be placed in the church one hour before the service.

Irene Gallegos Jimenez
MOULTRIE — Irene Gallegos Jimenez, 32, of Moultrie, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
The rosary will be recited at Cobb Funeral Chapel 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 28, with Father Mike Smith officiating. Burial will be later in the Municipal Cemetery in Guanajuato, Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Estela Jimenez Garcia and Gorge Gallegos Gonzalez.
Survivors include her husband, Ignacio Hernandez Garcia of Moultrie; daughters, Yesenia Hernandez Gallegos of Mexico, Blanca L. Hernandez of Moultrie, Dalia V. Hernandez of Mexico, Horlanda G. Hernandez of Mexico and Jennifer M. Hernandez of Moultrie; brothers, Ernesto G. Jimenez, Leobardo G. Jimenez and Alvaro G. Jimenez, all of Moultrie; and sisters, Maricela G. Jimenez, Mariaelsa G. Jimenez and Andrea G. Jimenez, all of Mexico.
