MOULTRIE — Joseph R. “J.R.” Stanford Sr., 81, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006, at Sunrise Nursing Home.

AUGUSTA — Joseph Zane McMullen, the infant son of Traci Lollar Kirkland and Zack McMullen, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.

The Rev. Roger Fulton Davis
LIVE OAK, Fla. — The Rev. Roger Fulton Davis, 82, of Live Oak, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, at his home following a brief illness.
Among his survivors are his wife, Rachel David of Live Oak; one son, Joey Smithwick of Coolidge; and three daughters, Lawana Smithwick of Thomasville, Melanie Czajkowski of Valdosta and Beth Barron of Moultrie.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today, Nov. 12, in the Live Oak Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Louis Medaris officiating. Interment will be in the Live Oak Cemetery.

Guerry Owen Holm Sr.
MOULTRIE — Guerry Owen Holm Sr., 66, of Old Tram Road in Moultrie, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, at Woodlands Living Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, at First United Methodist Church in Thomasville with interment at Pinecrest Memory Gardens in Moultrie. The Rev. Leigh Ann Raynor and the Rev. William E. Collins will officiate. Casketbearers will be Glenn Copeland, James Plondke, David Lee, Jim Lee, John Milstead and Sherrod McCall Jr. Honorary casketbearers will be James Whelchel and Lyle West.
Mr. Holm was born Oct. 12, 1940, in Lakeland, Fla., to Frank E. Holm and Clara W. Holm, both deceased. He was regional sales and service manager for General Motors Corp.. He was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity and the Masons. Guerry expressed the desire to be remembered as an avid lover of symphonic and operatic music. The Valdosta Symphony Orchestra was his passion, where he served on the board of directors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Madeleine L. Holm.
Survivors include a son, Guerry Owen Holm Jr. of Baton Rouge, La.; a stepson, Matthew M. Haney of Woodstock, Ga.; a daughter, Cynthia Yvonne Holm of Atlanta; and a sister, Betty Jean Milstead of Virginia.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. today at 2 Old Tram Road.

Myrtle Louise Goodin McCoy
MOULTRIE — Myrtle Louise Goodin McCoy, 90, of Moultrie, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, at Woodlands Living Center.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13, at First United Methodist Church of Moultrie with burial at Pinecrest Memory Gardens. The Rev. Larry Bird will officiate. Casketbearers will be her grandsons-in-law: Lane Goss, Keith Miller, Chris Tatum, Jesse Adcock, Will Holloway and Dave Weisensel. Honorary casketbearers will be her grandsons: Corey Nesbitt, Stan McCoy, Mitch Mauldin, Marcus Miller and Mike Nesbitt.
Mrs. McCoy was born Sept. 2, 1916, in Colquitt County to Lauren Goodin and Elizabeth Croft Goodin, both deceased. She and her husband were the owners of McCoy’s Produce.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delma McCoy, and a daughter, Peggy Coleman and husband Bill.
Survivors include a son, Delma Stanley “Buddy” McCoy of Moultrie; a daughter, Patricia Ann “Patsy” Browning and husband Bobby of Moultrie; grandchildren, Cheryl Coleman Nesbitt and husband Mike, Lisa Browning Adcock and husband Jesse, Debbie McCoy Goss and husband Lane, Anna McCoy Miller and husband Keith, Kristi McCoy Weisensel and husband Dave, and Stan McCoy; great-grandchildren, Corey Nesbitt and wife Tonya, Missy Nesbitt Tatum and husband Chris, Mitch Mauldin, Brittany Mauldin Holloway and husband Will, Marcus Miller, Lindsay Goss and Matthew Goss; and great-great-grandchildren, Caden Nesbitt and Gage Tatum.
