Eugene “Bop” McShane
MIAMI, Fla. — Eugene “Bop” McShane, 51, of Miami, Fla., died Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Miami, Fla.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at St. Mary Freewill Baptist Church with Apostle Rosa A. Thomas officiating assisted by Pastor Ametha Randall. Burial will follow at Strong Memorial Gardens with Melvin Cole, Willie Wilson, Johnny Wilson and Johnny Jackson serving as pallbearers.
Born Oct. 26, 1954, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Eliza Ann McShane Jackson and the late Willie McShane Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine McShane of Miami, Fla.; stepfather, A.C. Jackson of Moultrie; sons, Irental McWhorter of Orlando, Fla.; Steven McShane of Miami, Fla., and Eugene McShane Jr. of Moultrie; daughters, Angela McShane-Hopkins of Miami, Fla., Donshica McShane of Moultrie and Chanquilla McShane of Moultrie; brothers, Johnny McShane and wife Robin of Rockville, Conn., and Willie McShane and wife Carolyn of Dale City, Va.; sisters, Ann Bazile and husband Bruno of Moultrie and Sharon Spencer and husband Paul of Moultrie; 11 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, May 19, at 8 p.m.
The family will receive visitors at the home of his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Bruno Bazile at 324 First St. N.W. in Moultrie.

Robert Lee Laster
MOULTRIE — Robert Lee Laster, 54, died Thursday, May 11, 2006, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at St. Luke AME Church in Barwick with the Rev. Kenneth A. Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Reedy Creek Cemetery in Pavo with Charles Lamons, Jermaine Dawson, Morris Dawson, Norman Adams and Coy Adams serving as pallbearers.
Born Sep. 26, 1951, in Pavo, he was the son of the late Arthur Lee Laster and Nellie Mae Dawson McCloud.
Survivors include a son, Robert Wayne Laster and friend Keysha Johnson of Moultrie; a stepson, Jason Kirk Lamons of Boston, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Shanovie Lamons of Boston, Ga.; a sister, Louise Hill of Moultrie; three aunts, Carrie Murphy and husband James, Margie Lane and Rosie Bell Rivers, all of Tampa, Fla.; three granddaughters, Julisa Laster, Ryshell Laster and Jakyia Laster, all of Moultrie; a stepgranddaughter, Brittney Booker of Moultrie; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

Freddy Jackson
MOULTRIE — Freddy Jackson, 51, of Moultrie died Saturday, May 13, 2006, at Coliseum Medical Center in Macon.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Clinton Clark Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at St. James Pallbearers Cemetery No. 1. Christopher Jackson Jr., Christopher Antonio Jackson, Arthur Smith, Colby Crawford, Cornelius James and Leon Spradley will serve as pallbearers.
Born Sept. 8, 1954, in Colquitt County, Mr. Jackson was the son of the late Earnest Jackson Sr. and the late Mildrew Walker Jackson.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Earnest Jackson Jr.
Survivors include a son, Jordan Heard of Whatley, Ala.; two brothers, Eugene Jackson and Henry David Jackson and wife Veretha, all of Moultrie; three sisters, Vernice Baker of Atlanta, Vivian Jackson of Stockbridge and Mary Jackson of Moultrie; two aunts, Mary Price of Dayton, Ohio, and Sadie C. Jackson of Moultrie; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Eva M. O’Neal Watson
MOULTRIE — Eva M. O’Neal Watson, 78, of Moultrie died Thursday, May 18, 2006, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at Harrell-Faircloth Chapel with the Rev. Edward Walker and the Rev. Noah Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memory Gardens with Wyndall McGuire, Johnny Walker, Marion Meads, Tony Najera, David Ray and Ricky Cordova serving as pallbearers.
Born Nov. 5, 1927, in Colquitt County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence M. “Bud” O’Neal and Roxie Fowler O’Neal. She was retired from Levi’s Egg Co. and was a member of Sylvester Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Wheeler Watson; a daughter, Patricia Jean Watson; and a sister, Daphine Parker.
Survivors include a stepson, Billy Wayne Watson of Cherokee, Ala.; four daughters, Shirley Walker and husband Johnny of Moultrie, Dorothy Meads and husband Gordon of Norman Park, Joan Najera and husband Tony and Frances Cordova and husband Enrique, both of Moultrie; two sisters, Ann Elliot of Moultrie and Ouida Fowler of Augusta, Ga.; nine grandchildren, Keisha Martinez, Sara Martinez, Amanda Meads, Marion Meads, Ed Walker, Patricia Delangel, John Walker, Brandy Rhodes and Mary Walker; and seven great-grandchildren, Mason Callahan, Keri Lindsey, Corbin Hayes, Preston Sammons, Amber Rhodes, Jada Malagon and Jose Malagon.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 20, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Harold Lamar Sullivan
HARTSFIELD — Harold Lamar Sullivan, 60, of Hartsfield died Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Paul Worsham and Billy Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens with Bob Thomas, James Harrell, Rodney Stephenson, Jeff Jones, Derric Stephenson and Stanley Bass serving as pallbearers.
Born May 29, 1945, in Colquitt County, he was the son of the late Mildred Bass Sullivan and the late Charlie M. Sullivan. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Stephenson Sullivan of Hartsfield; a son, Pat Sullivan and wife Tammy of Cotton, Ga.; a daughter, Katina Harrell and husband Craig of Moultrie; a sister, Sybil Thomas and husband Owen of Moultrie; and four grandchildren, Owen Harrell, Sarah Grace Harrell, Haley Carroll and Logan Sullivan.
Visitation will be tonight, May 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Coleman Thomason
DOERUN — Coleman Thomason, 79, of Doerun died Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Graveside rites will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at Union Cemetery in Doerun with the Rev. Roy Hicks officiating. Full military honors will be conducted at the graveside.
Born Dec. 26, 1926, in Laurens County, he was the son of the late Ruth Cody Thomason and the late Bert F. Thomason. He was retired from the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Thomason and a sister, Laverne Hiers.
Survivors include a brother, Freeman Thomason of Doerun; sisters, Lucy Meredth of Moultrie, Nell Barnett of Perry, Fla., and Pat Dukes of Moultrie; an aunt, Pauline Holt of Doerun; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no formal visitation.

Deborah Henson Jackson
MOULTRIE — Deborah Henson Jackson, 46, of Moultrie died Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Graveside rites will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Rev Lennon Howell officiating.
Born Feb. 20, 1960, in Thomas County, she was the daughter of the late Betty Joann Ricks Herndon and Kenneth Henson of Moultrie. She worked at the Circle N Petro Store.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Gerald Henson Jr.
Survivors include a brother, Jeffery Lee Henson of Texas, and a half sister, Jessica Henson Seawright of Pavo.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 20, from 1 until 2 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

William “Bill” Hilton
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — William “Bill” Hilton, 46, of Tallahassee, Fla., died Sunday, May 14, 2006.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Culley’s Meadow Wood Funeral Home located at 700 Timberlane Road in Tallahassee, Fla.
Born June 1, 1959, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Robert Marvin Hilton and the late Mary Kate Lindsey Hilton. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary “Buddy” Hilton.
Survivors include four daughters, Selena Grace Stevens and husband Jim and Brandy Marie Hilton and husband Doug, all of Tucson, Ariz., Samantha Joyce Hilton and Crystal Renee Hilton, all of Tallahassee, Fla.; two grandchildren, Alexis Marie Hilton and Maryssa Stevens, both of Tucson, Ariz.; five brothers, Mike Hilton and wife Sydney, David Hilton, Randy Hilton and wife Faye, all of Funston, Tim Hilton of Macon and Roger Hilton and wife Lisa of Moultrie; three sisters, Winona Hilton of Moultrie, Rita Haymons and husband George of Thomasville and Elaine Hilton and husband Larry Boyd of Pavo; 13 nieces and nephews; and three great nieces and nephews.
