MOULTRIE — The Colquitt County junior varsity soccer teams split a pair of matches at Tift County on Monday.

The Colquitt County girls were shut out by Tift County for the second time this season, losing 3-0 and dropping to 6-3 for the season.

The Colquitt County boys got a goal from Nathan Fowler with seven minutes remaining to defeat the Blue Devils 1-0.

Fowler had a breakaway attempt that the Tift County keeper original handled. But when the ball rolled away, Fowler got to his feet and put the ball into the net.

Also, the goal scored by Colquitt County in Saturday’s 1-1 tie with Houston County was by Buster Elkins, not by D.J. Van Zant as reported in the Sunday edition.
