Nellie I. Pate
MOULTRIE — Nellie I. Pate, 93, of Moultrie, died Saturday, June 17, 2006 at Magnolia Manor South Nursing Center.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 19, at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Jones and the Rev. Wayne Goff officiating. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Larry Pate, Jeff Pate, Travis Mims, Craig Vines, Mark Fuches, Lewis Pate, Richard Pate, Jonathan Vines, Russell Pate, Randall Pate and Robert Pate.
Born in Colquitt County, Aug. 9, 1912, to the late Leonard M. and Georgie Hiers Hatchett, Mrs. Pate was a homemaker and devoted mother and a member of the Primitive Baptist religion.
She is survived by four daughters Eva (Bob) Nelms of Moultrie, Mary (Bruce) Vines of Moultrie, Georgia (Ray) Grimsley of Colquitt and Margie (Michael) Haney of Moultrie; four sons, L.H. (Debra) Pate of Newton, Jesse (Joan) Pate of Byron, Arlie (Betty) Pate of Doerun and Neal Pate of Abilene, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Linda Pate of Moultrie; 27 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie J. Pate; and sons, Ralph, Marvin and Junior Pate.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today, June 18, at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home. The family may be contacted at the home of Eva and Bob Nelms 107 Fairway Drive in Moultrie.
