James Samuel “Sammy” Livingston

MOULTRIE — James Samuel “Sammy” Livingston, 76, of Moultrie died Monday, June 12, 2006, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 16, at Harrell Faircloth Chapel with Dr. David Benton officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Jack Gordon, Benny Alderman, Bill Colson, Joe Holloway, Robert Holloway, Gary Navins, Danny Alderman and John Livingston serving as pallbearers.

Born June 27, 1929, in Colquitt County, he was the son of the late John Vance Livingston and Sallie Fairibe Alderman Livingston. He was a retired district manager from General Telephone Company and a United States Army veteran. He was also a past president of the Moultrie Lions Club, a past president of the Red Cross and a USO Band member.

He was preceded in death by a brother, J.D. Livingston, and two sisters, Evoline Cole and Juanita Holloway.

Survivors include his wife, Annie Beatrice Jefferson Livingston; sons, William Randall McCoy and wife Connie of Doerun and Grady James Carlton of Tifton; a brother, Bobby N. Livingston and wife Margaret of Moultrie; two grandchildren, William Kirk McCoy and wife Nancy and Katey Marie McCoy; and two great-grandchildren, Lanie Ellen McCoy and Jolie Elizabeth Harden.

Visitation will be tonight, June 15, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Jack Langston

ADEL — Jack Langston, 71, of Adel died Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at the Memorial Hospital of Adel.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 16, at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Phillips Simmons and Donnie Sloan officiating. Burial will follow at Reedy Creek Cemetery in Colquitt County.

The family will receive friends tonight, June 15, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home, Highway 41 South.

Eddie S. Martin

MOULTRIE — Eddie S. Martin, 20, of Moultrie died Friday, June 9, 2006, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 17, at Grant Chapel AME Church with the Revs. Florence Bankston and C.L. Ponder III officiating. Burial will follow at St. James Pallbearers Cemetery No. 2 with Terry L. Barber, Tony Daniels, Robert Laster, Dexter McClendon, Grady Blakely and Jerome Blakely serving as pallbearers.

Born Dec. 19, 1985, in Colquitt County, he was the son of Eddie Fye and Debra D. Martin Henry.

Survivors include his father, Eddie Fye of Atlanta, Ga.; his mother, Debra D. Henry and husband Tyrone of Moultrie; a daughter, Tiatana Kinsey of Moultrie; four brothers, Michael Martin Jr. and wife LaKeita of Texas, Kenna Martin, Arius Martin and Darius Martin, all of Moultrie; two sisters, Axineya Martin and Akeemya Martin of Moultrie; grandmother, Mildred McClendon of Warner Robins, Ga.; a devoted and loving friend, Cicely Wheeler of Moultrie; three aunts, Tosheiha McClendon and friend Terry Barber of Moultrie, Sharon McClendon of Warner Robins, Ga., and Shanadoah Thomas of Japan; a special aunt, Wilma Jean Daniels of Moultrie; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Willie C. “Hickey” Toomer Sr.

MOULTRIE — Willie C. “Hickey” Toomer Sr., 55, of Moultrie died Friday, June 9, 2006, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 17, at Live Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. John W. Greene Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at St. James Pallbearers Cemetery No. 2 with Kendrick Brown, Bobby Bonner, Gregory Harris, Sandy Knighton, Johnny Blackwell and Stacy Brown serving as pallbearers.

Born June 7, 1951, in Colquitt County, he was the son of the late Willie Charles Toomer and Mattie Ree Knighton Toomer Suggs.

Survivors include his stepfather, John Henry Suggs Sr. of Moultrie; two sons, Willie Charles Toomer Jr. and wife Sabrina and Deon Williams all of Moultrie; two daughters, Shannon V. Brown and husband Stacy and LaTrinda L. Christian and husband Robert, all of Moultrie; four brothers, Jerry Toomer, Walter Suggs and Henry Suggs, all of Moultrie, and Eddie Bailey of Tifton; 11 sisters, Marie Young and Barbara Ann Sinquefield and husband Edward, all of Deerfield, Fla., Patricia Toomer, Johnnie Mae Bonner, Mary Etta Green and husband Kenny, Julie Harris, Sheila Grant and husband David, Gloria Blackwell and husband Johnny, Brenda Robinson and husband Willie, Beverly Suggs, and Venda Hill and husband Ricky, all of Moultrie; long-time friend, Madine Toomer Pace of Moultrie; seven grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
