Teen indicted in Hardee’s robbery

MOULTRIE — In Colquitt County Superior Court, a grand jury indicted 16-year-old Ronald B. Legget Jr. in the armed robbery of Hardee’s restaurant in April.

Leggett, 1515 Fourth Ave. N.E., was indicted for one count armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Leggett along with an accomplice allegedly robbed the restaurant April 9 armed with a shotgun. One of the employees identified Leggett as one of the robbers. Moultrie police searched his residence after obtaining a warrant and found a black bag of cash, deposit bags, a deposit box access card and a black sweat suit stuffed between a washer and dryer, reports said.

Other indictments

In other felony indictments:

• Juan Antonio Lara, 21, Telequah, Okla., two counts of interference with custody.

• Octavious D. Williams, also known as Teavis D. Williams, 20, 630 Fifth Ave. S.W., two counts burglary.

• Lynton Lee Cox, 51, 222 Indian Creek Subdivision, habitual violator, misdemeanor attempting to elude a law enforcement officer and two counts of obstruction of a law enforcement officer. Cox and co-defendant Michael Dewayne Dillon, no information, each are charged with misdemeanor theft by taking.

• James Neloms Jr., 51, 302 Tallokas Estates, theft by taking and two counts theft by conversion.

• Carlos Sanchez, also known as Lewis Gonzalez, 26, Circle Road, theft by taking motor vehicle and misdemeanor giving false name to a law enforcement officer.

• Christopher E. Robichaud, 22, 2817-A First St. N.W., theft by receiving stolen property.

• Richard Scott Smith, 24, 132 Oak St., Norman Park, aggravated stalking.

• Tammy Lynn Stanfill, 39, 182 Horseshoe Drive, aggravated stalking.

• Irving Singletary, 30, 14 Park Lane, terroristic threats and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

• Willie C. Hightower, 18, 1515 Fourth Ave. N.E., burglary allegedly of the home of Gloria Millican, same address, Jan. 31.

• Christopher S. Alexander, 19, 139 Arrowhead Lane, attempt to commit burglary and interference with governmnet property.



No bills

The grand jury did not find sufficient evidence to prosecute the following:

• Jason V. Furney, 25, 462 Culbertson Road, and Leonard Martin Blaxton, 49, 396 Peachtree Road, Berlin, aggravated assault. Braxton had been charged with allegedly accompanying Furney as he allegedly shot into the house of Dawn Hobgood with her family inside.

• Amanda Haymons, 20, 2175 Funston-Doerun Road, Doerun, theft by taking.

• Patrick Orlando Canty, 21, 5881 Highway 256, Norman Park, aggravated assault. Canty had been charged with assaulting Angela Dawson with a semi-automatic pistol.

• Timothy J. Sutton, 25, 319 Ninth Ave. S.W., aggravated assault, terroristic threats, two counts firearm possession during the commission of a crime, firearm possession by a convicted felon, misdemeanor cruelty to children in the third degree and misdemeanor pointing a gun at another. Sutton had been charged with pointing a pistol at Kathleen Thompson at 623 Second Ave. N.W., Jan. 8.

• Thomas Lee Tyler, 26, 832 Northside Drive, two counts aggravated assault. Tyler had been charged shooting at Derrick and Bernard Brown at 419 First N.W., Feb. 25.

• Santaner Leggett, 21, 532 27th St. S.E., aggravated assault and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime. Leggett had been arrested for assaulting Octaveyan Clay at 2706 Fifth Ave. S.E., March 1.
