MOULTRIE — A father and son were apprehended after they allegedly got into a fight early Saturday morning. When the father returned home, he found his truck had been damaged, allegedly by four women. They were all apprehended.
Cedrick Sean Thomas Sr., 41, and Cedrick Sean Thomas Jr., 20, both of 509 Hillcrest Ave., were each charged with disorderly conduct (family violence). Thomas Jr. was also charged with illegal possession of alcohol, and the charge was Thomas Sr.’s fourth disorderly conduct offense.
In the second incident, Tammy Lynne Williams, 29, of 815 Third St. S.E., Jessica Ann Hayes, 27, of 215 Fourth St. N.W., Sherry Thomas, 41, of 509 Hillcrest Ave., and Brenda Jean Porter, 49, of 217 11th Ave. S.E., were each charged with disorderly conduct.
Thomas Sr. called police at 1:08 a.m. Saturday after his son allegedly “came home high,” and the two got into an argument. The argument became physical as Thomas Sr.’s wife, Sherry Thomas, tried to intervene before the father and son allegedly started to punch each other, investigative reports said.
Sherry was able to separate the two briefly before they allegedly began fighting with each other a second time, police reports said.
A second witness, Williams, took Thomas Jr. to a house on Eighth Street Southeast in order to keep the two men from fighting. Both men had small cuts and abrasions from the alleged fighting, and they were both placed under arrest and taken to Colquitt County Jail. Thomas Jr. was put on the Intoxilyzer machine and blew a .111 alcohol level, far above the .000 legal limit for an underage person.
Thomas Sr. was released on bond and returned to his home about 4:15 a.m. Saturday and called police a second time. When the officer arrived, Thomas Sr. reported his Chevrolet Silverado truck had been damaged by the four women, police reports said.
The officer found all the tires had been cut, a beer bottle had been thrown at the windshield, causing a crack, and the driver’s side door and hood were scratched by broken beer bottles. Thomas Sr. also reported his bedroom was trashed, allegedly by the four women.
The responding officer stated the beer bottles that were broken had been beside the four women during the earlier incident. When a second officer arrived, the women denied they had done the damage before stating they were mad at Thomas Sr. for getting Thomas Jr. arrested.
Hayes, Sherry Thomas, Williams and Porter were then placed under arrest and were taken to Colquitt County Jail. Allegedly, they had all drank a large amount of alcohol during the night, and were upset at Thomas Sr. Sherry was not able to bond Thomas Jr. our of jail even though Thomas Sr. bailed himself out, the reports said.
