Leo Franklin Beaty

MOULTRIE — Leo Franklin Beaty, 83, of Moultrie died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hugh Ward officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope in Worth County.

Born June 12, 1924, in Worth County, Mr. Beaty was the son of the late William Ruffin Beaty and the late Ida Bell Green Beaty. He was the owner of Beaty Saw Sales and Service and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Mathis Beaty; and three brothers, Marvin Beaty, Russell Beaty and James Austin Beaty.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald Franklin Beaty and John Beaty and wife Kathy, all of Moultrie; a daughter, Ava LaGail Woodruff and husband Bill of Phenix City, Ala.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Baker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
