MOULTRIE — Eight more Moss Farms divers have qualified to take part in the Spring East Championships, to be held April 27-29 in Coral Springs, Fla.

Of the eight, Kelsey Goodman, Elizabeth Ann Kirkland and Jillian Braun will compete on both boards at Coral Springs.

All eight qualified at the Region 3 Championships, held Friday through Sunday in Chapel Hill, N.C. The top six finishers in each event advance to the East Championships.

“Overall, we’re sending a good group,” said Moss Farms coach Ed Goodman.

Goodman and Braun had exceptional performances.

Braun finished second on the 3-meter board and third on the 1-meter board in the girls 14-15 age group.

“Jillian had a great meet,” Goodman said. “Of everyone we took, I am most pleased with what she did.

“This could be a breakout regional for her.”

Kelsey Goodman was second on 1-meter and third on 3-meter in the 16-18 girls age group.

Kirkland also had a fine meet, with a third-place finish on the 3-meter board and a fifth-place finish on the 1-meter board.

She competed in the 12-13 girls age group.

Moss Farms had four girls entered in the 16-18 girls age group. Hannah Moore qualified on 1-meter with a fourth-place finish, but was seventh on 3-meter

Ali Lepech qualified with sixth-place finish on 1-meter, but was eighth on 3-meter.

“Ali had no major mistakes,” Goodman said. “She was in a tough competition and everybody was diving real well.”

Erin Goodman did not qualify on either board.

Camille Kirkland has rejoined the Moss Farms program and qualified with a third-place finish on the 1-meter board. And while she finished ninth on the 3-meter board, she was just 9.95 points out of sixth place.

Tevin Hightower qualified on 3-meter with a fourth-place finish on Sunday.

Moss Farms divers Ann Perry Blank, Anna Aguero and Owen Blank had already qualified for the East Championships at a region competition in Bloomington, Ind., in early March.
