Reba Musick Braswell

MOULTRIE — Reba Musick Braswell, 83, of Moultrie, died Monday, June 11, 2007, at Woodland Living Center.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at Berlin Freewill Baptist Church with burial at Sardis Cemetery. The Rev. James Sellers and the Rev. James Osborn will officiate. Casketbearers will be Chanaan Davis, Michael Collins, Corey Lacey, William Boyd, Blaine Fowler and Ike Davis. Tommy Cato will serve as honorary pallbearer.

Mrs. Braswell was born Aug. 15, 1923, in Alabama to Willie Newton Harris and Lillie Pitts Harris. She was a homemaker and a member of the Freewill Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Willie Grady Musick and Franklin Braswell; a daughter, Connie Orcutt; and a granddaughter, Linda Sue McLemore.

Survivors include one son, Willie Newton Musick and wife Marie of Tallassee, Ala.; three daughters, Ann Bowers and husband Alvin of Thomasville, Becky Lindsey and Franklin Jacobs of Moultrie, and Wanda Cosper and husband Lee of Tennessee; four brothers; five sisters; 16 grandchildren, Jamie Musick, Chasity Musick, Heather Price, Deborah Dammer, Barbara Ailes, Sharon Merritt, John Orcutt, Janet Orcutt, Russell Orcutt, Pam Reid, Donna Kay Hobbs, Charity Allman, Michael Willis, Chanaan Davis and Brandy Collins; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today, June 13, at Baker Funeral Home.

Dennis Edward McCorvey Jr.

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — Dennis Edward McCorvey Jr., 53, of Boynton Beach, Fla., and formerly of Moultrie, died Sunday, June 10, 2007, at his home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 14, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Earl Dean McCorvey officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Born Aug. 4, 1953, in Colquitt County, he was the son of Earnestine McCorvey Baker and the late Dennis E. McCorvey Sr. He was a route manager for Flowers Bakery and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Talmadge Baker; and a brother, Terry Baker.

Survivors include one son, Blake McCorvey of Savannah, Ga.; one daughter, Rebekah McCorvey of Atlanta, Ga.; his mother of Moultrie; five brothers, Michael McCorvey and wife Suzy of Pompano Beach, Fla., Marty Baker and wife Samantha of Moultrie, Herbie Baker of Moultrie, Steve Baker of St. Augustine, Fla., and Keith Baker and wife Dale of Commerce, Ga.; four sisters, Tammy M. Kidd and husband Terry of Moultrie, Kim Margavich and husband Tom of Gainesville, Ga., Kathy Brooks and husband David of Jefferson, Ga., and Belinda Williams and husband Hank of Winder, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
