MOULTRIE — Moultrie’s Aaron Eubanks gave up three runs in 5 1/3 innings of work as the Georgia Southern baseball team defeated 15th-ranked Michigan 12-3 on Saturday in the first game of a doubleheader on the campus of East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C.
The Eagles played later Saturday against Pittsburgh.
The victory raised Southern’s record to 5-5.
Eubanks, the former Colquitt County High left-hander, raised his record to 2-1.
He surrendered six hits, walked two and struck out four Wolverines.
Will Southwell, Eubanks’ former Packer teammate, was hit by a pitch as a pinch-hitter in the ninth, helping ignite a four-run Georgia Southern rally.
