MOULTRIE – According to Probate Judge Wes Lewis, Colquitt County election supervisor, records were set across the state for early voting. Colquitt County saw 945 voters turn-out on the first day.

“Early voting turnout has been very heavy in Colquitt County and across the state,” said Lewis. “We are on track to break our own early voting records, and it looks like there will be record early voting totals statewide.”

There were 8,358 early voters as of early Tuesday afternoon, according to County Registrar Paula McCullough.

The last day of early voting for the presidential election is Friday, Nov. 1. Ballots may still be cast until then at the Colquitt County Courthouse Annex in Room 201, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Voters who don’t vote early can cast their ballots at their assigned poll location on Election Day, Nov. 5, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
