13 Diving Tigers
qualify for Zones

MOULTRIE – All 13 Moss Farms divers who competed in USA Diving’s Region 3 Championships have qualified for the Zone Championships.
As a team, the Diving Tigers finished second at the Region championships, held Saturday and Sunday at Florida State’s Morcom Aquatics Center in Tallahassee.
The Moss Farms girls placed first and the boys were second in the event, which drew 131 divers.
The qualified Moss Farms divers now will set their sights on the Zone B Championships, which will be held June 5-8 in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
The Moss Farms contingent was led in Tallahassee by Amelia Gregory, who tied for second place in the girls individual high point standings.
In the 12-13 girls age group, she was first in the 1-meter springboard and was second on 3-meter.
She also competed Saturday in the Region 3 Tower Invitational and was first among the 12-13 girls.
Beck Gregory had a strong meet in 14-15 boys, winning the 1-meter event and finishing third on 3-meter.
In 16-18 girls, Elizabeth Ann Hobby earned the silver medal on 3-meter and was fourth on 1-meter.
Also in 16-18 girls, Jewel Hart took first in the tower event, was fifth on 1-meter and 11th on 3-meter.
Also competing for the Diving Tigers at the region meet were:
Zechariah Ledl, 16-18 boys, eighth on 1-meter and sixth on 3-meter.
Logan Griffin, 16-18 boys, 16th on 1-meter and 11th on 3-meter.
Maggie Strange, 16-18 girls, fifth on 1-meter and fourth on 3-meter.
Kendall Deloach 16-18 girls, 15th on 1-meter and 12th on 3-meter.
Selah Huante, 14-15 boys, fourth on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. He also was third in the tower event.
Ruby DeMott, 12-13 girls, sixth on 3-meter.
Ansley Lane, 12-13 girls, sixth on 1-meter and fifth on 3-meter.
Hunt Murphy, 11-and-under boys 11th on 1-meter.
Nora Kate Taylor, 11-and-under girls, sixth on 1-meter.
Moultrie’s ElliReese Niday, a multiple junior national champion, won the Saturday’s senior women tower event and was first in the 12-13 girls 3-meter event.
