MOULTRIE – The C.A. Gray middle school Black soccer teams remain undefeated after sweeping Coffee High on Monday at Packer Park.
The games were originally scheduled for Jan. 22, but had been reschedule because of snow.
The girls Black team continued the remarkable start to its season by shutting out the Lady Trojans 8-0.
The team is 4-0, is unscored on and has outscored its opponents 29-0.
Kayly Garcia led the Lady Packers on Monday, scoring three goals.
Dyi James scored twice and Emily Gay, Emily Garcia and Gigi Olalde each had one goal.
The boys Black team got to 4-0 with a 6-0 victory.
Hudson Champion scored the first of his three goals with 24:32 left in the first half. Edgar Venegas assisted.
Danny Ortiz followed with a goal with 22:11 left in the half to put the Packers up 2-0 at the break.
Champion got his second goal with 15:18 left in the match with Daniel Perez getting the assist.
Champion completed the hat trick four minutes later with Ivan Pimentel assisting.
Pimentel then scored a goal to put the Packers up 5-0 with 9:52 remaining. Trotter Tomlinson got the assist.
Angel Duque finished the scoring with a goal with just 2:03 left. Tomlinson got his second assist.
The Black teams will travel to play at Lowndes on Wednesday.
