MOULTRIE – The Colquitt County baseball team’s season-opener has been moved from Wednesday, Feb. 12, to Monday, Feb. 10.
First pitch of the game between the Packers and Ware County will be at 6 p.m. at Packer Park.
The game was originally scheduled for Wednesday, but the threat of rain forced it to be moved.
The game will be the first for the Packers under Ryan Strickland, who was named head coach last spring after the 2024 Packers finished 11-17.
Colquitt won its scrimmage game last Thursday, defeating Worth County 9-2.
The Packers also will play next Saturday in Hazlehurst, meeting Wayne County at 1 p.m. and Jeff Davis at 3:30 p.m.
