Driver in deadly police chase charged with murder

MOULTRIE — The Colquitt County District Attorney’s Office has filed a murder charge against the alleged driver in a police chase that claimed the life of another motorist.
The Georgia State Patrol said at the time that Colin Anthony Terrell, 31, of Moultrie, was fleeing from Colquitt County deputies on Jan. 25 when his car struck another vehicle on First Avenue Northwest in Moultrie. The driver of that other vehicle, Verna Louise White, 44, of Moultrie, was killed.
Terrell was charged at the time with vehicular homicide and other offenses while the GSP’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team continued its investigation. On Monday, the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office released information that he has also been charged with felony murder,
Law enforcement said Terrell had methamphetamine in his vehicle at the time of the crash.
