MOULTRIE — The Arts Center Theater is excited to stage the holiday classic, “A Christmas Carol.”
This Music Theater International production includes beautiful songs and lively dances and is suitable for all ages to participate. Auditions will be held 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, and will include excerpts from the script and one-verse solos for those wishing to audition for a singing role. Rehearsals will be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from 6-7:30 but will not require everyone at every rehearsal. Some roles may only rehearse once a week or every other week up until closer to performance.
No previous stage experience is necessary to audition and everyone who auditions will be included in the cast. All ages are needed from 5 years old up and this is a great opportunity for families to be on stage together.
There will be a $30 per person production fee that will cover script rental and a show T-shirt. All cast members will also be encouraged to sell program ads to offset production costs.
As of now, performances are scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 7, and Friday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 9, at 2 p.m. The Arts Center Theater recognizes that a Packer playoff schedule may require juggling of performances and will adjust as needed.
