Development Authority
The monthly meeting of the Moultrie-Colquitt County Development Authority Board of Directors will be held at noon March 6 on the second floor of the Chamber of Commerce building, 116 First Ave. S.E. in Moultrie.
Meeting
The South Georgia Governmental Services Authority will meet at 4 p.m. March 7 at the Council Chambers of the City of Cairo, 119 N. Broad St. in Cairo.
St. Patrick’s Dance

Georgia Pines
The Georgia Pines Community Service Board for area mental health, developmental disabilities and addictive diseases services has scheduled a meeting for 12:30 p.m. March 21 at the Georgia Pines Administrative Offices Conference Room located at 252 Woodlands Blvd. in Thomasville. Candidates forum
Candidates for the Superior Court judgeship currently held by Richard Cowart will meet at a candidates forum at 5 p.m. March 26 at the Downtown Moultrie Welcome Center, 31 E. Central Ave.
Although the judge’s position is non-partisan, the forum is being sponsored by the Moultrie-Colquitt County Democratic Party.
The party said candidates Jeremy Baker and William Whitesell will participate.
Cowart has announced his retirement at the end of this term. The judge oversees cases in the Southern Judicial Circuit, which includes Brooks, Colquitt, Echols, Lowndes and Thomas counties.
