Vietnam veteran Stan Alligood is pinned with a 50th Commemoration of Vietnam War lapel pin by his wife, Beth.

MOULTRIE — John Benning Chapter NSDAR honored 11 Vietnam veterans and one Korean War veteran with Quilts of Valor.

A presentation ceremony was held March 26, in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church.

The 11 Vietnam veterans also received a lapel pin and certificate from the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War Commission.

The quilts were made by members of the Pavo Quilters Guild and the John Benning Chapter.

“A grateful nation thanks these brave men for the service, sacrifice and valor,” said Nancy Clark Coleman, John Benning Chapter NSDAR Regent.
