Power named to SNHU President’s List

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Dusty Power of Doerun has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s Summer 2024 President’s List. The summer terms run from May to August.

Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President’s List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.

Torres named to SNHU Dean’s List

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Emily Torres of Omega has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s Summer 2024 Dean’s List. The summer terms run from May to August.

Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean’s List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.

Ochlocknee student receives scholarship

DAHLONEGA — Fourteen University of North Georgia (UNG) students of Mexican or Latinx descent will receive scholarships provided by the UNG Foundation and the Consulate General of Mexico in Atlanta. Recipients are primarily in the College of Education.

Kevin Luna Vaca and Jennifer Galvan-Delgado have been named lead scholars and will each receive $2,500 for the 2024-25 academic year. Other recipients are receiving $1,500 each.

Osmarie Tolentino-Deleon, a recipient, is from Ochlocknee.

This year’s $8,000 grant is matched by $15,000 from the UNG Foundation. Dr. Christian Bello Escobar, director of academic and community engagement in the College of Education, serves as the principal investigator for the grant.

In addition to the scholarship, recipients are paired with a UNG faculty or staff mentor, have peer mentorship, and take part in a leadership program with community service opportunities.
