We don’t need a new taxing authority
“#1 Moultrie does NOT need a $1.5 million dollar airport terminal to attract/retain business!!
“#2 Moultrie citizens do NOT need a new tax from another “authority”!!
“If the airport needs longer runways let them pay for it with landing fees, rental and fuel income.”
Politics have always been divisive
“Yes, politics is divisive. Been that way since Greek and Roman times, likewise today. Each political side attempts to silence the opposition by patronizing the other. But politics heavily impacts everyone daily and should not be silenced just because one sides disagrees with the other. Discourse should be open, even encouraged. That’s what editorial pages are all about.”
Warrants were invalid; now we’ll pay
“Saw where DOJ finally admits that FISA warrants against Carter Page were invalid. Now he’s suing the government for wrongdoing. If he wins, and he should, taxpayers will have to pay up. Those committing the crimes against Carter Page will walk away scot-free while taxpayers have to pay dearly. Democrat and Obama justice: they mess up, we pay.”
We all pay for things we don’t use
“If Mr. Leigh believes it’s unfair that seniors pay taxes that go towards public schools which they do not use, I’ve got a couple complaints about the near $300 I pay a month to Social Security, which I’ll likely never receive.”
