MOULTRIE, Ga. — A Monday afternoon fire damaged a Jacqueline Circle residence.
The Moultrie Fire Department was dispatched at 3:19 p.m. to the 2500 Jacqueline Circle residence of Neal Clements after a neighbor’s children spotted smoke coming from it and the neighbor called 911. The neighbor used a hose to spray the house until the fire department arrived.
When firefighters arrived there was heavy smoke coming from the residence.
After the fire was extinguished an investigation did not determine the cause of the blaze.
Clements, who was not there at the time of the fire, told firefighters that he had been home to make lunch earlier but had not been in the room where the fire originated.
The fire remains under investigation.
