Memorial service
The Friends of the Library are hosting a memorial service for Mary D. Murray, an active member in the community. The service celebrating her life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 1, in the Moultrie Library. All are invited to attend.
Men’s Day
White Rock Baptist Church will hold its annual Men’s Day at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 2. Speaker will be Timothy Riser of Valdosta, and the pastor is Bishop Skipper.
Bible School
Pineview Baptist Church, Funston-Sale City Road, will hold its one-day Bible School, “In the Wild,” on Saturday, June 8. The Bible school will be 9 a.m.-2 p.m. with recreation 2-4 p.m. Lunch will be served, and all children are welcome.
Church anniversary
Sinner Friend Missionary Baptist Church of Hartsfield will observe the church’s 115th anniversary at 7 p.m. June 3-5 and will conclude with a 2:30 p.m. service on Sunday, June 9.
Churches on the program include (Monday) Rochelle Baptist Church and the Rev. Gale F. Harris; (Tuesday) F.A.B. Baptist Church and the Rev. Willie Love; (Wednesday) Bethlehem Schley Baptist Church and the Rev. J.W. Greene Jr.; and (Sunday) Shiloh Baptist Church and the Rev. Tony Brown.
The Rev. W.B. Sales is pastor.
NAMI Night
Keith Lacey, group spokesperson for Overcomers Outreach, will speak at NAMI Night, the monthly meeting of the Moultrie chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, on Monday, June 3, in the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
The educational meeting starts at 6 p.m., and support groups start at 7.
The church parking lot is on Fifth Avenue Southeast at Second Street Southeast. Enter under the canopy. Light refreshments will be served.
Concert
Patrick Lundy and The Ministers of Music (Georgia Connection) will perform Sunday, June 8, at Friendship Baptist Church, 400 Pine Ave., Albany. The service will start at 5 p.m.
Lundy, a native of Thomasville, returned to Georgia in 2013 to form the group as an extension of a choir he founded in the Washington metropolitan area almost 20 years earlier. Members hail from Thomas, Dougherty, Grady, Mitchell, Baker and Decatur counties.
Also performing will be Dottie Peoples.
Admission is $15.
Seaplane Opry House
The Seaplane Opry House features gospel music 6:15-6:45 p.m. every Friday, karaoke and dining 7-7:30, and then live country music and soft rock by the Deep River Music Band. Park on the ramp on the airport side of the Maule Aircraft Plant at Spence Field.
