Tree of Life quilt on loan

MOULTRIE, Ga. — Faye Bridwell, left, of the Museum of Colquitt County History, poses with Clarice Eldridge, who has loaned the museum the Tree of Life quilt hanging behind them. The quilt shows descendants of the Statem-Stuart-May family and was handmade by Blanche May, the late Rochelle May, Lula Mae May and Catherine Bryant. It was completed May 26, 1991. The quilt now hangs on a wall of the museum and can be viewed any time the museum is open. Museum hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2-5 p.m. Sundays. The descendants of the family will hold their reunion at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at Indian Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
