City council meets tonight

The Moultrie City Council meets at 6 o’clock tonight to address the following agenda:
• An application for a game room (including pool tables) business license/occupational license from Jeta J. Patel for Spot Shot at 13 Fifth Ave. N.E.
• Hold a first and second reading to amend the Retirement Plan and Trust for Employees of the City of Moultrie Ordinance to provide a governmental qualified defined benefit pension plan under Internal Revenue Code Section 401(a) and 414(d) regulations.
• Hold a first and second reading to Amend the Code of Ethics Ordinance. The amendments are for recertification to the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) as a Georgia Certified City of Ethics
• Consider the appointment/reappointment of Ronnie Marchant and Daniel Dunn to the Moultrie-Colquitt County Development Authority Board of Directors. The current terms will be expiring Dec. 31.
• Consider a proposed amendment to City of Moultrie Personnel Policy regarding adopting employee intranet and social media guidelines, and
• Consider the acceptance of a withdrawal request from and release of bid bond for low bidder, Hatcher Tractor Service, Inc., in Albany, and consider award of bid for CDBG Project No. 09p-x-035-2-5114 (Northside Terrace Drainage Improvements) to second low bidder, Oxford Construction Company, Albany, in the amount of $946,847.50 pending final review of engineering director and issuance of payment and performance bonds.
