OCHLOCKNEE — An Ochlocknee man told Thomas County Sheriff’s Office deputies his daughter hit him on the head with a shovel, then struck him with a golf club.

Finding an open rear door and a shattered window on the back porch, officers entered the residence at 276 Hogan Lane in Ochlocknee about 5 p.m. Tuesday and saw significant damage on an interior door and shattered glass throughout the dining room area, as well as a broken golf club head.

The man who called for help was not in the house, but walked up a few minutes later and told officers his daughter, Kristine Hogan Kicklighter, ran up onto his back porch, picked up a golf club and smashed a window, an incident report states.

The man said his daughter came through the broken window and hit him with the golf club. He escaped to a bedroom. The report states that Kicklighter broke down the bedroom door, which landed on her father, who escaped through the back door.

The 60-year-old father said his daughter left the scene in his Chevrolet Silverado truck.

A deputy observed an abrasion of the man’s head behind his right ear and a swollen, bruised injury on his shoulder blade. The man, who had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his person, according to the report, refused treatment.

After leaving the Ochlocknee house, an investigator saw the man’s pickup truck pull into McDonald’s in Thomasville with Kicklighter at the wheel. After she parked the truck, a deputy observed fresh hair dye in 36-year-old Kicklighter’s hair and all over her back.

The report stated a cell phone recovered from Kicklighter had been reported stolen earlier in the day in Mitchell County. Guns found in the truck had not been reported stolen.

Kicklighter, 565 Hogan Lane, is charged with aggravated assault and criminal damage to property.

“She’s out on bond on several similar incidents. The judge took note of that when he denied her bond,” said Capt. Steven Jones, sheriff’s office public information officer.

Jones said other charges on Kicklighter in other cases are simple battery on a peace officer, felony criminal damage to property and obstruction of officer.

“She has a burglary charge from September 2018 that included entering auto,” Jones said.

In October 2018, Kicklighter was charged with theft by taking motor vehicle.
