MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Kiwanis Club of Moultrie recently engaged in a brand new fundraising opportunity to help support literacy efforts in our community. Members held a “Bucks for Books” fundraiser with a goal of $1,000 to present to both Cox and Stringfellow elementary schools so they could purchase additional books for their media centers.

A Georgia Kiwanis Foundation grant matched the $1,000 goal, so Kiwanians could provide both Cox and Stringfellow with more than $1,000 each. Kiwanis members celebrated earlier this week by presenting a check to Stringfellow Principal Brian Knighton and Media Specialist Michele Croft.
