MOULTRIE, Ga. — The office of District Attorney Bradfield M. Shealy, Southern Judicial Circuit, is once again sponsoring a Christmas Gift Card Drive to benefit child victims currently in foster care, ages 13-17, who need a little holiday magic in their troubled lives.

Many of these children have been removed from abusive homes as a result of neglect, physical and/or sexual abuse, or witnessed acts of domestic violence, and are often forgotten during this time of year, according to a press release from Shealy’s office.

“As the holiday approaches, we ask that you remember these children when you plan your Christmas giving,” the release said. “We are asking for gift cards in denominations of $20 so that the cards can be evenly distributed among the children. The deadline for the Gift Card Drive is Friday, December 13th, 2019 by 5 p.m. You may mail your gift card(s) to the District Attorney’s Office, P.O. Box 2498, Moultrie, GA 31776 or bring them by the District Attorney’s Office, 101 E. Central Ave. (Colquitt County Annex, 2nd Floor, Rm 222).”
