The first was an up to $500,000 finance option with a zero percent interest rate, if the building is constructed in five years, Stafford said.

The second was a loan with a 3 percent interest rate.

“I’m pursuing that also,” Stafford said.

Vice-Chairman Robbie Burns said a spec building could be built but would be finished once a tenant is chosen.

No official action was taken toward the funding options.

JDA officials broached the idea of a new spec building at the November monthly meeting.
