LIVE OAK — The Friends of Music Concert Series will continue its 2017 -2018 season Jan. 19 with a performance by The University of North Florida Chamber Singers.

The Chamber Singers will perform at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 19 at Covenant First Presbyterian Church, 421 White Avenue SE, in Live Oak.

The Chamber Singers are a talented group of 28 college students under the direction of Dr. Cara Tasher, who has been on the UNF faculty in Jacksonville since 2006 as Director of Choral Activities. Dr. Tasher is a gifted teacher who inspires the outstanding choral sound delivered by the Chamber Singers. This superb choral sound is rarely heard in the Lake City/Live Oak area.

Many of the current singers are seniors and this may be their last time to sing in Live Oak. They are returning to Live Oak by popular request of those who have heard them previously as part of the Friends Series.

The concert in Live Oak on Jan. 19 is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.
