MOULTRIE, Ga. — Use caution Thursday traveling on state Route 133 from Old Quitman Adel Road in Brooks County to County Road 256 in Colquitt County as lanes are scheduled to shift.

Right now north and south traffic is all on one side, but will split Thursday. Drivers will have one lane open northbound and one lane open southbound. That pattern will continue to about Morven.

Georgia Department of Transportation plans to widen/reconstruct about 66 miles of SR 133 from the Lowndes/Brooks county line to Dougherty County. Two portions are complete and three are under construction. The section from Old Quitman Adel Road in Brooks County to County Road 256 in Colquitt County is expected to be finished this summer.

Work will continue in this area on the remaining lanes of traffic. Motorists are reminded to slow down when traveling through the work zone and remain alert for people and equipment.
