MOULTRIE, Ga. — Shots were fired in a Friday night home invasion at a residence in the county in which one of the three victims also was struck in the face.

The three robbers struck at about 8 p.m. at a mobile home in the 100 block of 30th Avenue Northeast, according to Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office reports.

“Three males with masks entered into a house,” sheriff’s Sgt. Ronald Jordan said. “All three were armed with guns.”

Residents Alejandro Elias, Arthur Rodriguez and Raymond Rodriguez were inside the residence at the time.

“During the robbery they struck one of the victims in the face and discharged a firearm twice,” Jordan said. “No one was injured by the gunshots.”

One of the gunshots traveled through a window and struck a car outside, he said.

The robbers took the men’s cash.

In another weekend incident involving guns a driver traveling at about 9:20 p.m. Sunday was fired upon from a following car.

Chaudhry Sahi of Adel was heading east in the 7000 block of Highway 37, according to sheriff’s reports.

“He began hearing gunshots and the sounds of bullets striking his vehicle,” Jordan said. “He sped up and was able to elude the vehicle behind him that was shooting at him.”

Six bullets struck Sahi’s 2009 Honda Civic, according to reports.

Two rounds struck the rear window, two went through the hatch and two went through the rear bumper, Jordan said. The bullets fired were pistol rounds.
