Family and Friends Day

St. James Freewill Baptist Church will celebrate its Family and Friends Day at 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, with Minister Moses Jordan. Pernell Adams is pastor.

Pastor’s anniversary

Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church, 501 Eighth St. N.W., will celebrate its pastor’s 34th anniversary with a banquet at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20. Guest messenger will be the Rev. Bryant K. Drake.

The event will conclude on Sunday, Oct. 21, with Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. and worship service at 11 a.m. with guest messenger Minister Willie Dobson. The theme will be “A Man of Great Courage.”

The Rev. J.W. Greene Jr. is the pastor.

Pumpkin Patch 5K

Colquitt Christian Academy will hold its third annual Pumpkin Patch 5K and Children’s Race on Nov. 3 after it was postponed Oct. 13 due to Hurricane Michael.

The 5-kilometer race will start and finish at Calvary Baptist Church. Registration will start at 7 a.m. and the race will start at 8. The registration fee is $30 for 5K participants or $50 for family registration. The registration for the children’s race is $10; the children’s race starts at 9 a.m.
