MOULTRIE, Ga. — In the pre-internet days most break-ups were relatively simple; but in the digital age intimate moments can be made public by a bitter ex.
That’s what happened to a Moultrie woman, according to Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office reports.
The 21-year-old told police that an ex-boyfriend had posted three nude photos and two nude videos of her on the internet messaging application Snapchat over a roughly 24-hour period.
The items were not posted on the man’s personal account, but over a public page “viewed by thousands of people,” she reported. They did not show her face, but she recognized them as photos and videos she had shared only with the man.
A deputy tried twice to contact the man by phone but did not reach him, police said.
The woman told police she did not wish to prosecute if he would stop making the online posts.

Bobbie Jean Starling told police that about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday she found the teen-ager and four other juveniles inside her residence, at which time he told her that he entered through an open front door. At that time he left and she then found a window broken in her daughter’s room that took $185 to fix.
At about 12:05 p.m. the boy returned home. When an officer spoke with him about his behavior and companions he hangs out with, “he seemed as he did not care,” police said.
Charges were filed, police said, and the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice advised them to turn the boy over to his mother.

• Lakeisha Simmons, 100 block B. Allman Road, reported Tuesday that a male companion grabbed her by the throat, choking her, and threatened to kill her.
Simmons told police that after she and the man argued over cigarettes she got in her car to go to the store. The man began beating so hard on her car window that she opened the door, at which time he lunged at her and grabbed her throat.
She defended herself and honked her car horn, bringing family members out of the residence at which time the confrontation ended. She then called 911.
The man was not there when police arrived.
Simmons had scratches and marks on her neck and face, police said.
• Misty Holt, 300 block Dunn Road, reported Wednesday that a male companion grabbed her by the hair and pulled her down, causing her to strike her head on the concrete.
Holt told police that the argument started over her accent.
An officer contacted the man identified by Holt, who had left the residence, and he told police that he did not start the argument and that Holt threw a spray can at him. He left the residence to take diapers and formula to his and Holt’s child, he reported.
The man helped pay for a hotel room for Holt for the night, police said, after she found that all domestic violence shelters were full.
Police recommended that Holt, who said both she and the man had been drinking, return later to retrieve her property.
Holt had no visible injuries, police said.
