Makeup artists prepare Hank Williams, left photo, and his son, Jonathan Lee, right photo, to be extras in the Jamie Foxx movie ‘Sleepless,’ which opens in theaters today.

Williams, a former Ellenton resident now living in Lilburn, has been an extra in numerous movie and TV projects — watch for him in ‘24: Legacy’ after the Super Bowl Feb. 5 — but this was Jonathan’s first experience with it.

Williams said he met Foxx at the Jimmy Kimmel Show in Los Angeles and, knowing that Foxx’s sister has Down syndrome, he mentioned that Jonathan has the same condition. Foxx invited them down to the shooting of ‘Sleepless,’ and Williams said they were placed in good positions to be on camera as extras.
