Interviews will be conducted on-site by district personnel, school principals, and administrative support staff. Ohana Bay underway at Wild Adventures

VALDOSTA, Ga. – Construction for Ohana Bay, an expansion to Wild Adventures Theme Park’s Splash Island, is underway. Ohana Bay was officially announced by Wild Adventures in September and is part of $2 million in improvements scheduled for the park, Wild Adventures Public Relations Manager Laurie Windham said. The new addition will bring seven water slides, five of which will be for all ages.  The other two slides will stand more than 26 feet tall. All of the slides will end at a splash deck, which is a wet area, instead of a pool. More than 100 beach seats will be added along with a splash area. At the end of 2015, Wild Adventures asked guests what they would like to see added to the park and Windham said a Splash Island expansion “won hands down.” The construction is taking place in a previously unused portion of the park, utilizing local contractors for the majority of the work, she said. ‘Ohana’ means family in Hawaiian,” Windham said. “This area will be family friendly, with parents able to keep an eye on children at all times from the seating area.” Ohana Bay will open April 1.
