MLK celebration

Jones Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 317 W. Railroad St. in Sylvester, will host the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Celebration Services at 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15. The theme will be “Keeping the Dream and Making a Change in our Community.” Guest speaker will be the Rev. Justin Johnson, pastor of Greater New Birth Missionary Baptist Church of Sylvester. The Rev. Veronica Lewis is pastor.

Also as part of the celebration, the church will hold a march at 10:45 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16, beginning at Jones Chapel AME Church.
