Clay to preach at Men’s Day Sunday

HARTSFIELD, Ga. — The Rev. Willie “Fred” Clay will bring the message for Sinner Friend Baptist Church’s Men’s Day at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8.
Sunday school teacher will be Bro. Johnny Williams, and music will be by the Truly Blessed Male Choir of Moultrie. The Rev. W.B. Sales is pastor.
Clay is the son of the late Deacon Elisha and Willie Mae Clay of Sylvester. He is the seventh of 11 children. He’s the father of four — Tareva, Monteria, Shontel and Timothy — and the grandfather of four — Christian, Trey, Jaylen and Derrick.
Clay is a 1976 graduate of Worth County High School. After completing high school he has done farm work and served as supervisor over the Specialties Department at Seabrook Blanching Cooperation. He is currently retired from Georgia’s Department of Transportation, where he was manager of the sign department.
Clay is a member of New Beulah Grove Baptist Church. He is son of the house and brother to three daughters of the house, where Karl Smith is pastor. He serves as assistant Sunday school teacher and mentor to the Deacon and Usher Board.
He was recently called and installed as pastor of Beulah Grove Baptist Church of Doerun.
