SHS wrestlers qualify for regional tournament

- Brandon Trask took the district title and was one of 10 SHS wrestlers to qualify for the regional tournament.
LIVE OAK — The Suwannee High wrestling team had 10 wrestlers qualify for the regional tournament after a strong showing at the district tournament Feb. 17 at Wakulla High.
Brandon Trask (106 pounds), Tanner Clark (152) and Billy Jenkins (160) were district champions. Tyler Ogles, Chase Clark and Joey Borrell finished district runner-ups. Kenneth Foster and Terrell Williams took third. Angel Soto and Bernardo Perez were fourth-place finishers.
The Bulldogs went 13-5 in dual meets this season and took first at the Category 5 Duals and the Tiger Duals.
Suwannee finished second at the Battle of the Border Tournament and placed placed fifth out 30 teams at the Capital City Classic.
The regional tournament starts today at Clay High School.
